RAYMOND J LEE ‘Optimistically Open’
When you are a gay man who wants to be a father, you are faced with challenges and choices. Broadway veteran (Aladdin, Anything Goes, Groundhog Day) Raymond J. Lee shares how his desire to be a dad led him and and his partner to seek out adoption, specifically ‘open’ adoption, and in doing so created a unique family dynamic with Ella’s birth mother. Through heartbreak and disappointment, they never lost their focus on becoming parents, and now the family of three is facing the obstacles of remote learning, quarantine life, and the unknown future of Broadway with the same hope and optimism that brought their daughter to their lives.
